Western, Wildlife, and Southwestern style home decor is designed and created by hand in Cave Creek, Arizona by artist Lonn Elletson.  With the use of various tools such as a hot forge, anvil, hammers, mig welder, tin snips, cutting torch and fence pliers, unique designs are created for the old west, great outdoors, and southwestern living environments.   These art forms include such items as functional light switch covers, large-scale “barbed wire” furniture & accessories and aged wood designs.  All décor is powder-coated or naturally antiqued and then clear-coat sealed for durability and enjoyment both indoors and out.

Artist, Lonn Elletson, has utilized over 20 years of experience in creating his designs, specializing in oxidizing and patina processes, lending a one-of-a-kind finish to the exciting collection of artistic décor.  Decorative light switch covers are adorned with original ivory painted designs that have been carefully “antiqued.”  This process, not found elsewhere, offers an old world charm to virtually all decorating styles.

The most captivating debut for Cave Creek Designs has been the introduction of the “BIG BARBS” collection, a new twist in home décor, in early 2006!  This new line was developed in an effort to provide customers with a new “cutting edge” and functional art form.  Cave Creek Designs offers a full selection of rustic bathroom accessories, hat racks, railings, lamps, headboards, curtain rods and cabinet pulls.  Positive customer feedback has resulted in ongoing, new product development as well.  Heavy gauge steel is hot forged, hand-sculpted, formed and welded, then finished to create this exclusive line of “barbed wire” home accents, promoting smiles and intriguing conversation between the artist and his customers.

Dramatic three-foot tall wooden sculptures are hand crafted by the artist using century old lumber salvaged from retired railroad bridges, dating back to the 1800’s.  These thick, knotty and weathered wooden planks are hand carved and tooled into an endless variety of western, southwestern, and wildlife designs with incredible historic character and natural beauty.
